Blank Map Template

Here is my template for a custom map in PDF Form just print and play.  I will use this to make real custom maps someday, hopefully. To print this one all you have to do is switch the settings to landscape.

3-Floor Map

After Vindo, I wondered what a 3 level map would be like.  Like 3 individual maps stacked on top of each other or that you just pretended were connected.  Here is my design.  The 2nd from the end vertical thing on the right is another ladder by the way.

Nuvo Vindi Card

After watching the "Blue Shadow Virus" episode of the Clone Wars, I decided to make a card for Nuvo Vindi, the evil scientist in the episode.  I gave him a special ability representing the blue shadow virus.  I also added battle droid reserves to represent that he had his battle droids helping defend his lab.  Here's the card.  As usual comments or cost suggestions would be great.

Now that I look, I have a squiggly line under "droid."  I'll fix it eventually!

Mapless Minis Tutorial/Battle Report

I played a game of mapless minis (MM for easier reference) with 50-point Republic and Separatist squads.  I didn't do a good job of choosing squads apparently, because my mom lost to me horribly with the clankers.  I'll show the death toll at the end.

All you need to start is your miniatures, cards, a dice, and a ruler.

First you set up your figures in your starting area.

A character's turn still works the same, except the squares are replaces by inches.

First move the character the 6 inches or whatever.

Next use the ruler to determine line of sight.  The only cover in this game is characters and low objects.  That makes it simpler.

We continued playing until the result of the battle was clear.  Then we kept going.
Quite a sad loss for the clankers.  Quite a sad loss...

A New Way To Play

Ever want to play minis when you don't have a map.  You have the figures, dice, cards, and everything else.  Well, just grab a ruler and you can play!  I haven't tested this out very much so it might not work.  But here's the main idea.  You build squads anywhere from 25 points to 250 points.  Then get your cards and lay out the minis on your playing area.  Use the ruler for movement and stuff.  6 inches for movement (every square on a minis map is 1 inch by 1 inch), 6 for grenades, everything.  You could just play on a flat surface, with no cover other than characters, or you could just grab stuff, from 3D terrain to a book off your shelf, to use for terrain and low objects.  I will try to try this out and maybe give some battle reports soon.  I will start the testing with 50 point squads.

Rebel Scum!

After my last Imperial card incident, I was inspired to make this ship-jumping stormtrooper.

Really creative stats, I know.  I wonder what an army of stormtroopers would do against an army of stormtroopers.

Some New Cards

Hey guys.  I found some custom stats on various forums, and decided to put them on cards.  I give the stat maker credit at the bottom of each card, but here are the names just it case.  HK-50 from the Wizards Forum made Yoda's stats. The others were from the Star Wars Custom Miniature Database forums.  Goldie was by planewalker459.  Renegade Trooper was by Master Skywalker. And finally, Scout Trooper Captain was by saber1.
