Tutorial 2 Preview
For my next tutorial I am taking two commando droids and cutting them up to give one 2 blasters. I haven't started, but that's the idea. By the way, please comment on my last post about the suggested custom.

Some Future Tutorial Ideas
I have seen several pics in lots of different places and found three ideas for basic customizing tutorials.
- ARC Trooper (from normal clone troopers) (ironlightsaber)
- Luke Skywalker, Hoth Pilot (tsmpaul)
- Quarren Sith Lord (DarthJustie)
I don't have any parts but if you comment and tell me which one you want most I will probably post that one first.

Clone Wars Mini-Set PDF
I wanted to put my cards for my Clone Wars Mini-Set into PDF form so they are easier to print. Here they are.

Conflict on Orto Plutonia Custom Mini-Set Preview
After watching the "Trespass" episode of the Clone Wars, which takes place on Orto Plutonia, I have decided to make a mini-set. So here is my first preview: Freeco Speeder and Thi-Sen.
This card was fun for me. I came up with a "Mount" special ability. Wizards made all those "on" figures. Clone Trooper on Speeder Bike. Anakin Skywalker on STAP. So why not make one that can have any figure on it. Like the desert skiff for combat.
Not much to say about this one. Thi-Sen was a major character in the episode. He was chief of the Talz Tribe. I gave him peaceful resolution because of how at end of the episode he makes peace with the Pantorans.

Custom Tutorial 1: Duros Stormtrooper
I hope to make a series of tutorials on making custom star wars miniatures. I have made only this one, Duros Stormtrooper, but hope to make more, and tutorials along with them.
Materials:
The first step in creating the Duros Stormtrooper is to cut the heads off of the the Duros and Stormtrooper.
Then glue them back together like so.
Alternative:
This is a very flexible custom. You can use practically any non-helmeted head and practically any stormtrooper and you can make the same thing.
Materials:
- Hobby Knife
- Glue
- Universe #41 Stormtrooper
- Imperial Entanglements #30 Duros Scout

Here is a card for the miniature.
You could play him as the "Rebel Spy in Stormtrooper Armor", or, if you need an extra, just a regular stormtrooper. Tell me how he works for you.

Wag Too Card
After watching a season 1 clone wars episode (a lot of posts start like this don't they) I decided to make a card for Wag Too. In the episode he heals Anakin and nurses him back to health. Anyways, here's the card.
I gave him wheel form because they roll when they have to move quickly. I also gave him heal to represent how he nursed Anakin back to health.

Updated Updated CW Mini Set
Roman Miniatures
Not really Star Wars related, but I figure I'll post them anyways. I purchased a set of 35 unpainted Italeri plastic figurines of Ceaser's Roman Infantry in 1:72 scale at my local hobby shop for $13.50.
I started painting them yesterday, and now have 8 done. I haven't done a wonderful job at painting. This is my first time to really paint miniatures, and they are quite small. Anyways, here are some pics.
The whole group.
A Roman leader and a bodyguard archer.
A group of swordsmen.
A group of spearmen.

More Cantina Tiles
Today I made some more tiles for my Cantina Project. These ones are mostly just worthless things no one could possibly need, but I put them on anyways. By the way, if you have any suggestions or requests for cantina pieces (anything from individual squares to whole rooms) I would be happy to make them.
First I have an even farther wrap around booth.

Here is a wall. You can use this to add walls to your cantina anywhere (as I did not include any in any of the tiles).
I made that bar adapter last post, but I thought it might be nice to have a three way too.
New Bases
I decided to make custom-based minis. I decided to use a sand theme.
First I found a mini, Mercenary Commander.

Then I mixed up some two-part epoxy, and covered the base with it.
Finally, I dumped sand on it, let it dry, and finally shook it until all the sand came off. Here is the finished product.
I plan to this with the rest of my mercenaries (2 humans and a chiss), and if I do, I will post pics.

Cantina Additions
I made some more cantina parts, some of which are not from the real cantina, just logical stuff to have in the set. Here they are:
Bar Adapter (for 4 bars coming out from one point)
Bar Extention (for making the bars longer)
Longer Booth
Wrap-Around Booth
Cantina Map
I know I said I'd do a detention block map next, but I got sidetracked and got started working on this project. I call it the "Cantina Project"
I am making a blank floor map and a series of tiles that can be placed on it. Together, these should make a customizable cantina. I have several parts now, but more are hopefully to come.

Map #3: Mission Briefing Room
Here is my 3rd custom map for Star Wars Miniatures. I am planning to make a whole spaceship set with some of my maps, and here is room 2: Mission Briefing Room. I have a computer console and a holographic projector for communication and mission briefing. Another future project is a geonosis arena, made from lots of small maps put together. Anyways, my next spaceship room will be a detention/interrogation block.
More S.W.A.T.

Map #2: Pod Hunter Battle
I watched the "Rising Malevolence" episode of the Clone Wars and made this map and scenario. I call it Pod Hunter Battle!
Republic Squad:
Plo Koon, Jedi Master - 40
Clone Trooper (X2) - 18
Total - 58
Republic Setup:
Republic characters set up adjacent or on the escape pod.
Republic Victory Conditions:
Defeat all Separatist characters.
Separatist Squad:
Rocket Battle Droid (X6) - 60
Total - 60
Separatist Setup:
Separatist characters set up within the pinchers of the Pod Hunter
Separatist Victory Conditions:
Defeat all Republic characters.
Any feedback would be nice. I can't playtest becuase I don't have any of the characters (other than the clone troopers).

Map #1: Control Room
I used my template to make this simple map for small miniatures games. These are free and easy to print out, so if you forget your maps, or even get tired of them, I will try to make lots of them here. I recommend 50-point battles.
Here is my Control Room Map.
